Part-time 2 days a week contract until May 2027 with the possibility of a further 12-month extension. Candidates with their own UAE visa are preferred.Involved Solutions has partnered on a major banking build in the UAE, and we're hiring a Senior Compliance Advisor to provide hands-on regulatory advice across the design, implementation, and launch of the business. This is a build environment where frameworks and controls are being established from the ground up, not an existing compliance function needing maintenance.We're looking for someone with genuine CBUAE engagement experience who can translate regulatory obligations into practical requirements for business, product, and technology teams, and who's comfortable giving pragmatic advice while still holding the line on regulatory challenge where it matters.About the role:Act as senior subject matter expert on CBUAE requirements and broader UAE banking and financial services regulationInterpret regulatory requirements and translate them into clear actions for business, product, operations, and technology teamsSupport design of the compliance operating model, governance structure, and roles and responsibilitiesAdvise on the regulatory obligations register, compliance risk assessment, and regulatory change processReview compliance policies, procedures, committee papers, regulatory submissions, and senior management reportingAdvise on new products, customer journeys, and material business changes from a regulatory perspectiveSupport licensing, regulatory approvals, go-live readiness, and responses to regulatory information requestsPrepare for and participate in meetings, inspections, and supervisory engagements with the CBUAEEnhance the compliance monitoring and testing programme, including issue tracking and escalationWork closely with the MLRO and Financial Crime teams on AML/CFT, sanctions, KYC/CDD, and fraud-related obligationsSupport handover of the compliance framework into business-as-usual ownership post-launch About you:10+ years in regulatory compliance, compliance advisory, or regulatory risk within banking, financial services, payments, or fintechSignificant UAE market experience with strong understanding of the CBUAE regulatory environmentHands-on experience engaging directly with the CBUAE: regulatory meetings, inspections, licensing, submissions, or supervisory reviewsExperience designing or materially enhancing a compliance framework, ideally within a greenfield bank, digital bank, fintech, or major transformation programmeStrong knowledge of UAE regulatory requirements covering consumer protection, conduct risk, governance, outsourcing, and financial crimeComfortable advising and constructively challenging senior stakeholders in a fast-paced delivery environmentExperience working across Compliance, Risk, Legal, Product, Operations, and TechnologyBackground with a UAE bank, the CBUAE, a professional services firm, or a regulatory consultancy is particularly relevantFluent English required; Arabic is a plus but not essential
