We have partnered with a leading insurance provider who are looking for a Data Engineer to support their enterprise data initiatives.
About the role:
You will design, build, and optimise data pipelines and models to support reporting, analytics, and machine learning use cases across the organisation. This role will focus on leveraging Microsoft technologies to deliver reliable, secure, and scalable data solutions for both business and technical stakeholders.
About you:
- Hands-on expertise with Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
- Strong proficiency in SQL (complex queries, stored procedures, performance tuning)
- Experience building and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines within Microsoft ecosystems
- Skilled in Python for automation and data transformation
- Familiarity with data modelling (Kimball, star/snowflake schema) and data warehousing best practices
- Experience with Power BI (DAX, data visualisation, semantic models)
- Knowledge of Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and version control (Git) is an advantage
- Background in insurance or financial services data environments is preferred
