The role:
A leading Government institution is seeking a Senior Data Modeller, as part of a wider Data Programme.
This 6-month contract (Inside IR35) requires a highly experienced professional to help design and implement robust data models for an enterprise data warehouse.
Essential Skills:
- Proven experience designing physical models in enterprise data warehouse environments.
- Proficient with data modelling tools and SQL.
- Deep understanding of Kimball methodology.
- Hands-on experience with Talend Data Studio and Tableau.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Agile delivery experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage with stakeholders to capture business requirements and translate them into clear technical specifications.
- Design and build dimensional data models aligned with Kimball methodology, ensuring scalability and performance.
- Analyse existing data to identify gaps, inconsistencies, and quality issues.
- Create and maintain comprehensive data documentation, including mappings, dictionaries, and lineage.
- Collaborate with architects, developers, and testers to implement data warehouse solutions following best practices.
- Support data integration, migration, and user acceptance testing throughout the delivery lifecycle.
