Job description

A leading diversified conglomerate is looking to build out a new architecture team and need someone to come in and lead the team of initially 5 Architects each covering a specific domain. The role will be responsible for defining and overseeing an organisation's enterprise architecture (EA) strategy. This role ensures that technology, business processes, and systems align with the company's strategic objectives.

About the role:

  • Define and lead the enterprise architecture strategy to align IT systems with business goals.
  • Develop and enforce architecture standards, frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman), and best practices.
  • Establish governance processes to ensure compliance with the architectural vision
  • Oversee the design and implementation of enterprise-wide technology solutions.
  • Evaluate and recommend emerging technologies and innovations (e.g., cloud, AI, IoT, blockchain).
  • Lead initiatives to modernize legacy systems and adopt digital transformation
  • Collaborate with C-suite executives and business leaders to understand long-term objectives.
  • Translate business strategies into IT roadmaps and architectural blueprints.
  • Identify opportunities to use technology for competitive advantage and operational efficiency.


About you:

  • In-depth knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, ArchiMate).
  • Expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), microservices, DevOps, and CI/CD.
  • Understanding of enterprise systems (ERP, CRM, HCM) and data architecture.
  • Strong understanding of business operations, industry trends, and market dynamics.
  • Ability to align IT strategy with organisational goals and deliver business value.
  • Proven ability to influence C-suite stakeholders and drive organizational change.
  • Strong leadership skills to manage diverse teams and foster cross-department collaboration.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills to convey complex concepts clearly.
  • Will suit candidates with coming from a Retail, FMCG, Manufacturing, Pharma background. Or anything that is direct to consumer.
