Job description

Our client is hiring a Data Scientist to join the Analytics department within the Digital Marketing team.

Your role will be to build predictive models to help grow the business into new markets.

The role:

  • Data Pipeline Development: Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines to efficiently collect and ingest data from various sources, including websites, CRM systems, advertising platforms, and third-party APIs.
  • Data Integration: Integrate and transform data from multiple sources into a unified, structured format suitable for analysis, reporting, and modelling.
  • Database Management: Manage and optimize databases, ensuring data integrity, performance, and security. Implement data warehousing solutions for storage and retrieval.
  • ETL Processes: Develop and maintain ETL (Extract, Transform, and Load) processes to clean, enrich, and prepare data for analysis, reporting, and visualization.
  • Automation: Implement automation solutions to streamline data collection, processing, and reporting workflows, reducing manual efforts.
  • Data Quality Assurance: Monitor data quality, identify discrepancies or anomalies, and implement data validation and cleansing processes.
  • Data Governance: Establish data governance policies, standards, and best practices to ensure data consistency, compliance, and security.
  • Work with the team to develop and implement machine learning models for predictive and prescriptive analytics.
  • Evaluate and fine-tune models for optimal performance.
  • Documentation: Maintain clear and comprehensive documentation for data pipelines, processes, and infrastructure configurations.
  • Performance Optimization: Continuously optimize data pipelines and databases for scalability and efficiency, anticipating future growth and data volume


Your experience:

  • 4 - 6 years experience in similar roles.
  • Proven experience in data engineering, ETL processes, and database management, particularly with tools such as Apache Spark, Hadoop, SQL, or NoSQL databases.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala.
  • Strong knowledge of data warehousing concepts and architecture.
  • Experience working with cloud-based data storage and processing platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, Azure).
  • Proven track record of solving complex problems using data-driven approaches.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
