Title: 2nd Line IT Support Engineer
Salary: up to £39,000 + Benefits
Location: onsite in Loughton with some travel to client site (travel costs will be covered)
Contract: Permanent
Working hours: Monday to Friday - 9:30am - 6pm
A family run Managed Service Provider which has significant growth plans is looking to bolster its 2nd Line support team. The 2nd Line IT Support Engineer will be working in a fast paced and pressurised environment and be given the opportunity to deal with BAU tickets, projects and get certifications and training courses funded.
2nd Line IT Support Engineer - Responsibilities:
- Resolve tickets including but not limited to; Office 365, Azure, Intune, SharePoint, OneDrive, hardware, cyber security, DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, routers, switches, access points
- Support their clients across an array of industries
- Escalate issues as and when required
- Project involvement could entail - server/cloud migrations, office fit outs, building routers & switches, unified controllers
- When required travel to different client sites (once or twice per month)
- Utilise your troubleshooting skills to resolve issues you may not have come across before
- Opportunities to grow and progress into cloud, security, networking and more
- Complete an Azure or Office 365 certification within your first 3 months (the business will pay for it)
2nd Line IT Support Engineer - Essential Requirements:
- Driving license & a vehicle
- Networking protocol knowledge - DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, the difference between a router and a switch and how to access a router
- Intune - on/offboarding devices
- SharePoint or OneDrive - file access
- Office 365 - mailboxes, permissions, user administration & tracing emails
- Strong troubleshooting mindset
- Excellent communication skills and willing to work in a fast paced and pressurised environment
2nd Line IT Support Engineer - Desirable Skills:
