Job description
As a Finance Manager at our client's firm in Dubai, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial strategy of the local entity. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include overseeing various aspects such as controlling, accounting, tax matters, risk management along with treasury and cash management.
You will be instrumental in developing procedures that align with group guidelines while also managing the HR department. Your expertise in SAP will be crucial for its rollout and implementation. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with the CEO while also liaising with external partners.
- Responsible for controlling, accounting, tax, risk management, treasury and cash management to ensure profitability and growth of the local entity.
- Development, implementation and optimisation of adequate procedures, processes and tools to achieve strategic targets in alignment with Group guidelines and policies.
- Preparation and implementation of the annual budget including financial, personnel, cash and investment planning as well as strategic planning for the local entity.
- Timely preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial management reporting and forecasting.
- Diligent liquidity planning and cash flow management.
- Accounting and tax responsibilities according to the respective local standard and reconciliation and consolidation of financial statements according to Group guidelines.
- Act as a reliable advisor for the CEO and shareholders as well as a competent contact person for external partners such as tax advisors, tax offices, auditors and banks.
- Follow up on SAP rollout and implementation.
- Handle all IT topics including compliance with IT Group guidelines.
- Manage the HR department including compliance with HR Group guidelines.
About you:
The ideal candidate for the Finance Manager role is someone who will bring a wealth of experience and have strong business acumen and stakeholder management skills. You will have developed an in-depth understanding of tax laws, accounting principles and commercial law. Your proven ability to manage a team successfully will be crucial in this role. You will also possess superior business English skills and demonstrate a hands-on approach with a positive can-do attitude.
- Degree in Economy, Business Administration or Finance or equivalent qualification.
- In-depth knowledge of tax laws, accounting principles and commercial law.
- Proven track record of successfully managing a local team.
- Ability to develop, plan and execute short-term and long-term financial strategies.
- Expertise in SAP and knowledge of local requirements.
- Superior Business English skills, both oral and written.
