The role:
As a Senior Communications Officer, you will drive the implementation of the Communications Strategy, enhancing the quality and impact of the internal, external communications and marketing effort, through the use of digital technology, producing visual, engaging and easier to access collateral, essential to enhancing the organisation's standing as a technology and security leader.
This is a 12-month engagement, Outside IR35 and will require SC Clearance.
Experience & Responsibilities:
- Strong understanding of internal, external communications and/or marketing, appropriate channels, strategies and employee / stakeholder engagement best practice
- Prior Government experience in Communications
- Able to influence senior leaders, stakeholders, build and maintain constructive alliances
- Innovative / creative flair for creating digital content, an understanding of data evaluation and, where necessary, search optimisation (SEO) techniques.
- Experience of strategic planning, the use of horizon scanning tools to gather and analyse information to inform the plot for strategies, core narratives and activities.
- Strong decision-making, copywriting, proofing, editing, coaching, leadership skills, and a creative mind-set
- Supporting the Communications Managers in developing and delivering their communications strategies, using the OASIS method and other standard practices (such as GCS guidance 'Evaluating Government Communication Activity)
- Experience of video / graphics packages, e.g. Adobe Creative Suite, Final Cut Pro
