Service Designer - SC Cleared - Contract

Rate: Up to £650 per day

The role:

A leading Central Government Institution are seeking a talented Service Designer to support agile and user-centred design projects. This is a 6 month contract, remote and Inside IR35. SC Clearance is required for this role.

In this role, you will look at the end-to-end experience of services, to identify problems and reimagine how the service should work. You will be working with senior designers as part of a multi-disciplinary team and will help ensure that users are embedded at the heart of all products and services.

Experience requirements:

* Experience designing services according to the GDS Service Standard, especially at Discovery and Alpha (essential)
* Experience with GDS Service Standard assessments (essential)
* Experience working in a multi-disciplinary team with other UCD, Product and Delivery professionals (essential)
* Experience planning projects from a Service Design perspective, and coordinating with other professions to ensure high-quality and timely delivery (essential)
* Experience delivering typical Service Design assets in multi-disciplinary projects (such as user journey maps, service blueprints, prioritisation matrixes) (essential)
* Experience presenting Service Design and UCD concepts to audiences without a Design background (essential)
* Experience writing playbooks to explain Service Design best practice (preferred)
* Experience following or implementing knowledge management practices in Service Design (preferred)
