A leading logistics firm is looking for a Senior Systems Administrator to join their small talented team to support both the London office and their offices around the world. The Senior IT Systems Administrator will be providing 2nd Line and 3rd Line Infrastructure support to users in the London office and work with the wider international IT team.
The Senior Systems Administrator position is a great to chance work in a fast paced and varied environment within a company who are always looking for areas to develop the IT function. The Senior Systems Administrator will be involved in and lead a number of projects, the company has recently completed a Office 365 migration and you will be tasked with upgrading ESX hosts, building new Active Directory Domain Controllers servers, upgrading their Windows Server 2012 estate to Windows Server 2-2022, transitioning firewalls from Cisco to Palo Alto and several other projects.
As the Senior Systems Administrator will be responsible for providing 2nd and 3rd Line BAU support to the users across the business, good communication and customer service skills are key to succeeding in this position. You will be joining a small but supportive team, with a IT Division that spans the globe, this is an excellent environment to hone your skills and develop in your career.
Essential Skills for the Systems Administrator role:
* VMware ESXi & vCentre Server - upgraded/installed a ESXi Host * Microsoft Windows Server 2012 R2 / 2016 / 2019 / 2022 - upgrade experience * Active Directory - experience of building/upgrading a domain controller * Microsoft Exchange 2016 / Exchange Online * Office 365 - OneDrive & Sharepoint * Networking understanding(VPN / VLAN/ Switches / MPLS) * Experience troubleshooting Firewalls - Palo Alto / Cisco / Checkpoint etc * Windows 10
Desirable Skills for the Systems Administrator role:
* SAN/NAS Storage maintenance * Veeam Backup * ADFS / 2 Factor Authentication * VOIP * EIGRP and OSPF * CCNA or VCP
