Data Analyst - 12 Months FTC - London - up to £55,000 Bonus Benefits

One of our clients are in the midst of a large multi-year transformation where they are investing in a new data warehouse, tools and policies. To aid in the data reporting and visualisation they are looking to hire a Data Analyst with extensive experience in Tableau or PowerBI.

Key Responsibilities - Data Analyst:

* Build and maintains strong working relationships with key stakeholders
* Provide detailed trend analysis and recommendations
* Identifying root causes of trends and seeking to consistently improve quality of output
* Work on Tableau dashboards sitting on the new data warehouse
* Gather BI requirements from teams across the business
* Assist users with Tableau reporting, encouraging the use and embedding it within the business
* Support the migration of manual reporting into automated environments (e.g. Spotfire and Power BI) to improve efficiency and automation
* Performance Reporting
* Updating and distributing existing reports including business area and product specific reports
* Identifying anomalies and data issues and developing solutions to improve overall reporting
* Project Manage key MI developments across the team
* Ensure compliance and governance requirements are adhered to

Essential Skills Required - Data Analyst

* Experience in the end to end design and delivery of reporting packs with Tableau or PowerBI.
* Experience building reports and dashboards
* Experience gathering and assessing stakeholder requirements
* Advanced experience of data analysis and report building in Excel:
* Data manipulation, Formula creation, Charts and graphs, Pivot tables
* Advanced knowledge of MS SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS) and querying using T-SQL
* Understanding of relational database architecture and querying
* A high degree of self-motivation and the ability to work flexibly within tight deadlines with demanding stakeholders. Demonstrating effective time management skills at all times.
* High level of attention to detail ensuring all data is correct whilst conducting analysis.
* Strong communication and relationship management skills

Desirable Skills - Data Analyst

* Educated to degree level in relevant subject (computing / programming / mathematics / statistics)
* Spotfire, Power BI, Google Analytics and Salesforce
* Familiar with Python
* Experience with Snowflake
* Understanding of the Financial Services or a regulated environment.
