Service Desk Manager - up to £55,000 Benefits - London/Remote

I have an exciting position working for a Managed Service Provider who are looking to offer development, progression and certifications/qualifications for the correct candidate. This organisation is looking to add a Service Desk Manager to join their growing team to lead their current Service Desk team and potentially move into a future position of Service Delivery Manager. In this role, you will be the point of escalation for both the 1st and 2nd line support teams whilst playing a big part in their development.

To be suitable for this Service Desk Manager vacancy, you will need to have previous experience supporting end users. You will also need to have previous experience mentoring a team including one to ones, holding Stand up meetings, identifying skill gaps and creating solutions to continuously improve the Service Desk.

This Service Desk Manager role will be located onsite 5 days a week for the first three months (may be flexible) and this will then potentially decrease after the initial onboarding.

Essential Skills for the Service Desk Manager

The successful Service Desk Manager will have experience with the following:

* Taking ownership of the Service Desk
* Analysing the team to check for skill gaps and being able to upskill the team
* Able to communicate clearly with different stakeholders
* Being inquisitive and able to help drive change to improve
* A technical background to be able to help guide the team with different technologies
* Attention to detail

Desirable Skills for the Service Desk Manager

It will be beneficial if you have experience or knowledge of any of the below:

* Managing projects end to end
* MSP / Charity / Non for Profit / Government background
* Certifications
