Job Description

Title: Technical Support Engineer

Location: Seven oaks

Salary: up to £40,000 Benefits

Contract/Permanent: Permanent

Working Hours : 7:30am - 4pm / 9am - 5:30pm

Hours per week: 37.5


* Up to £40,000 salary as well as a wide array of benefits

* Hands on role - given the autonomy to analyse and troubleshoot a variety of problems and build systems to then install
* Be responsible for providing support across operational systems and infrastructure and providing day-to-day support, maintenance and troubleshooting

The role of a Technical Support Engineer:

* Will include a 50/50 split between project and BAU work
* The projects will include but not be limited to: Configuration of Cisco switches, fitting out the networking infrastructure of new sites, configure software and hardware, commissioning of technologies and installing of hardware
* Provide 1st - 3rd Line "business as usual" daily IT support: troubleshooting, upgrades and system maintenance.
* Help with the everyday work of a support team
* Management of IT Operations including hardware and software maintenance
* Providing support, upgrades, and installation/implementation of exciting new technologies


Essential Skills for a Technical Support Engineer :

* Active Directory (Administration/Group Policies/Permissions/Adding Removing users)
* 1st - 3rd Line support/troubleshooting
* Good experience with the O365 suite (SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, Intune) - maintenance, troubleshooting and support
* Networking - VLAN technology / Configuring switches / Firewall
* Server - Installation on network

Additional Technical experience that is desired:

* Knowledge/Desire to learn of Cyber Security
* Telephony knowledge

Soft Skills:

* Competent and quick minded individual
* Fast learner and Proactive
* Able to work in a fast-paced environment delivering excellent results
* Team Player
