Title: IT Technician

Location: Southeast London

Salary: £26,000 Benefits

Contract/Permanent: Permanent

Working Hours: 8am - 4pm

Hours per week: 37.5

THE JOB:

The role of an IT Technician:

* Providing 1st class support for all customer incidents and service requests, while maintaining a high-resolution rate.
* Providing an excellent customer service experience to the company and customers
* Take advantage of the extensive training and development opportunities available with the company to pursue a career in IT
* Take control of the service desk ensuring technical faults and requests are managed and prioritised effectively at a 1st line level
* Be able to relay technical information collected in a clear and concise manner for higher level engineers to resolve where needed as well as in non - technical terms to stakeholders within the company
* Have a strong passion for IT, and use this to increase the IT service level of the department to develop not only yourself but the service desk
* Extensive learning in Active Directory, Printer Troubleshooting, Networking and more

WHAT WE LOOK FOR:

Essential Skills - IT Technician:

* Good communication skills - written and verbal
* Strong appreciation for customer service
* Passion for IT and learning
* IT Qualification - A-Levels, BTEC, University degree, Apprenticeship courses

Additional Experience that is desired - IT Technician:

* Knowledge and experience troubleshooting or working with any of the following technologies: Active Directory, Windows Server, Microsoft, VLANs, AV, Laptops, Cabling, Switches or Printers
* Demonstrate the ability to prioritise against tight deadlines and effectively resolve tickets to a high level and escalate where necessary
* Proactive management of tasks and can use their strong initiative to overcome challenges
* Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve a common team goal and help develop yourself
* Experience in a background with customer service skills
