An exciting organisation based close to Cambridge are looking for an Infrastructure Engineer to join their team ahead of a busy new year with over 100 projects on the horizon.
The successful Infrastructure Engineer will join a close knit team acting as a 3rd Line escalation point for the Service Desk on a 50/50 BAU and project work split. As an Infrastructure Engineer you will have experience working within a virtual environment and supporting on technologies such as Active Directory, Office 365 and Windows.
Essential skills of an Infrastructure Engineer:
* Hyper-V - building and troubleshooting virtual servers * Office 365 & Windows 10 - administration including access policies and troubleshooting * SCCM - hands on experience deploying applications and software updates * Active Directory - experience managing DNS, DHCP and creating group policies * Storage - SAN or local storage experience within Hyper-V includes managing and monitoring
Desirable Skills of an Infrastructure Engineer:
* Cyber Security - knowledge of monitoring tools such as Darktrace, data loss prevention strategies (DLP) and knowledge of threats such as DDOS attacks * Firewalls - managing and configuring * Monitoring and installing applications such as anti-virus packages * Microsoft Certifications - MCSA, MCSE, MCITP etc.
As an Infrastructure Engineer you will be working alongside the Infrastructure Manager in the delivery of multiple projects which includes cyber security and storage upgrades.
