Government Commercial Adviser - Contract

Rate: Up to £550 per day

IR35: Inside

Duration: 6 months

Location: 1 day per week in either London, Manchester or Bristol (whichever is closest to your home location)

The role:

A leading Government institution are seeking a highly capable Government Commercial Adviser, to undertake an initial 6-month contract. This role is Inside IR35.

As a Government Commercial Adviser you will have the opportunity to work on a programme that aims to transform the way government approaches digital work - building a government fit for the digital age.

Key responsibilities for the Government Commercial Adviser role are:

* Have a demonstrable understanding of - and experience working in - government digital and technology procurement, including experience of working with the Crown Commercial Service
* Have knowledge of the current government commercial landscape, including frameworks and contract management
* Have experience of working in government digital delivery and digital transformation, including experience of collaboration with policy and operational delivery teams
* Be a keen proponent of modern digital ways of working, with an appetite to drive systemic reform
* Communicate clearly and influence stakeholders within and across teams and organisational boundaries
* Understand the bigger picture and impact of your work, plan strategically for the future and communicate effectively with senior leaders to influence future strategies
* Share work early and often, work collaboratively with other teams, professions and organisations, and build strong interpersonal relationships, actively maintaining networks of colleagues to achieve progress on shared objectives
