Location: Hybrid - up to 1 day per week in either London, Manchester or Bristol - whichever is closest
The role:
As a Legacy Technical Lead, you will be playing an influential role in guiding and informing how the UK government understands, priorities, and manages its technical debt.
This is an initial 4-month contract, Inside IR35.
This role requires:
* Central Government experience * experience with digital transformation - such as transforming internal system or user * facing services * experience working, and problem-solving issues around technical debt or legacy * systems * experience working with Enterprise and Application Management tooling - such as * tools like Ardoq or LeanIX, or the CMDB systems such as in ServiceNow * an understanding of modern cloud-based architecture * strong intellectual curiosity, and an interest in proactive research * the ability to clearly explain complex technology issues and an understanding of how * they are relevant specifically to government * excellent leadership, engagement and communication skills, with demonstrable * experience in setting stretching objectives * experience of being able to work at pace and adapt to changes in a dynamic situation
