THE JOB:
The role of the 3rd Line Infrastructure Engineer :
* Working with multiple technologies and getting hands on experience with them * Troubleshooting of Office 365, Hyper V, Windows and many others * Get hands on experience with bespoke technologies * Handling complex 3rd line issues and acting as the escalation point for all Engineers * Management of 1st/2nd/3rd Line IT issues and overlooking the whole service desk * Be involved in Appraisals/Recruitment and conversing with sales teams * Look after a team of around 6-8 employees
WHAT WE LOOK FOR:
3rd Line Infrastructure Engineer Essential Skills:
* Office 365 - Strong experience of Outlook/Exchange Online and password resets * Networking - Worked with Firewalls, Switches, vLANs, routers and have troubleshooting experience with including firewall upgrades, understanding networking concepts, setting up and diagnosing problems with firewalls and setting up new rules * Hyper V/ VMware - Troubleshoot and diagnose issues/experience of virtualisation - In addition creating VMs and clusters * Windows/Windows Server - Experience with Windows and Windows Server, having worked with any version
3rd Line Infrastructure Engineer Desired Skills:
* Working in an MSP environment and experience within a fast-paced environment * Experience with Azure and creating VMs within Azure * Azure Active Directory * Mac OS * Office 365 - Worked with additional applications - SharePoint/Teams * Intune - Mobile Device Management experience * Previous management experience or mentoring * Any Certifications
Soft Skills:
* Reliable - can work in a team but also by themselves * Customer Service - clear communication skills and able to articulate easily
