Job Description

Title: 2nd Line IT Support Engineer

Location: West London - Onsite

Salary: Up to £32,000 Benefits

Contract/Permanent: Permanent

Working Hours: 8:00am - 4:00pm

Hours per week: 35 hours


* Up to £32,000 salary as well as benefits
* To work within a fast-paced educational organisation who are looking for a 2nd Line IT Support Engineer to provide support to them.

* Working as a 2nd Line IT Support Engineer providing support to an organisation that has been functioning for multiple years
* Progression opportunities within the company - Extensive training opportunities and qualifications are encouraged
* Complete both BAU support as well as project work such as data migrations from on prem to SharePoint and rolling out a new telecoms system
* Opportunity to increase skillset and develop individual competency, problem solving skills and technology exposure


The role of a 2nd Line IT Support Engineer:

* Working with multiple technologies and getting hands on experience with them
* Troubleshooting a wide array of IT issues using technologies including O365, SharePoint, Azure and many others
* Get hands on experience with bespoke technologies
* Handling complex cloud issues
* Be the point of contact for complex troubleshooting issues and involves problem solving at the highest level
* Work on projects in addition to BAU work


2nd Line IT Support Engineer - Essential Skills:

* Office 365 - Admin Console (User creation within O365 applications
* MS Azure Active Directory - AD Connect, Password resets, onboarding/offboarding users
* Basic Scripting understanding on Intune, SCCM or Bash

2nd Line IT Support Engineer - Desirable Skills:

* Mobile Device Management (MDM) - Deployment of devices using Intune or SCCM/Multi Factor Authentication
* Understanding of IT Security
* Troubleshooting hardware - Printers/PCs/Laptops
* IT Certifications

Soft Skills:

* Team player
* Customer Service - clear communication skills and able to articulate easily
* Independent - proactive and can come up with solutions
