2nd Line Support Engineer - up to £45,000 Benefits - Staines/Remote

I am currently working with a leading Managed Service Provider who are looking for two 2nd Line Support Engineers to join their team. In this role, you will help with the Service Desk tickets whilst also being exposed to many projects in the new year both internally and on client site.

To be suitable for this 2nd Line Support vacancy, you will need to have experience supporting end users both remotely and onsite whilst being eager to develop your skillset when working with different technologies. Within this role, there will be development plans to further increase your knowledge through certifications, on the job training and having companies teach you about their systems first hand.

The successful candidates will be taking support queries via telephone calls, emails as well as remote based tools. You will be supporting both internal end users as well as their client base which will include VIP support. You will be supporting SMEs across the country but primarily in the South East of the UK.


Essential Skills for the 2nd Line Support Engineer

The successful 2nd Line Support Engineer will have experience with the following:

* Windows Server - Unlocking accounts and password resets
* Office 365 - Understanding how it works, supporting the core applications including Outlook and Teams
* SharePoint - Permissions and syncing
* Networking - Working with routers and switches whilst also being able to troubleshoot issues
* Active Directory - Unlocking accounts, password resets and setting permissions for different groups etc
* Troubleshooting of Hardware - Printers, desktops and laptops etc
* Troubleshooting of different Windows Operating Systems
* Experience working with Virtualisation systems such as Hyper-V, VMWare or similar

Desirable Skills for the 2nd Line Support Engineer

It will be beneficial if you have experience or knowledge of any of the below:

* Experience with different Mobile Device Management systems, preferably Intune
* Experience with Azure administration
* Previous experience within a Managed Service Provider or a fast-paced environment
* Previous experience within a Helpdesk environment
* Certifications / Apprenticeship etc
