Project Manager - (Applications / Financial Services) - 3 Month extendable

Rate: £500 to £550 per day

The role:

Our client, a leading Financial Institution, have recently embarked upon an enterprise application redevelopment programme for one of their business units and as such, require a seasoned Technical Project Manager with a strong Application Development background, to own this initiative.

As a Technical Project Manager, you will be working closely with a range of C-Level executives and an external vendor partner, so prior experience of working with a similar dynamic will key.

A pro-active, solutions-based approach to your work, with good business acumen and the gravitas to manage multiple internal and external stakeholders, in addition to solid skills in analysis, project planning, managing risks and issue management will also be of the utmost importance.

Requirements & Responsibilities:


Develop strategic relationships with key stakeholders (including C-Level)

Overall management of assigned project/s including budget

Effectively participate in decision-making that affects project scope, costs, time scales and resources.

Define resources and schedule for project/program implementation.

Create strategies for risk mitigation and contingency planning.

Plans and schedule project deliverables, goals and milestones.

Efficiently identifies and solves project issues.

Demonstrates leadership to define requirements for project risk.

Designs and maintain technical and project documentation.

Strong organisational, presentation, and customer service skills.

Experience Required:


Seasoned Project Manager, with experience of managing Application Development projects (SDLC)

Deep understanding of the SDLC (Waterfall or Agile methodologies)

Proven track record of project management and on time under budget delivery

Demonstrable experience of working in a fast-paced demanding environment

Experience of building effective stakeholder relationships to exec / project sponsor level.

Proven planning & organising skills, business case development & benefits realisation

Articulate with strong written and personal presentation skills

Background within IT change and delivery
