Portfolio PMO Lead - 6 Month Contract - Up to £465 per day

The Role:

A leading financial services business are seeking a Portfolio PMO Lead, with strong stakeholder engagement skills, to help them take their PMO function to the next stage in its evolution. Working across a diverse portfolio of business change and IT projects, this will be an initial 6 month contract to be based in London.

As Portfolio PMO Lead you will be working to make sure all programmes of work within the portfolio are aligned to the strategic aims and there is one single view of change, ensuring a consistency in approach.

Experience Requirements:

*

Experience as a Portfolio Lead (experience of working at a Portfolio Level)
*

Senior Stakeholder Engagement
*

Agile (Iterative Delivery Format)
*

Background in PSO Support
*

Experience of working at a Portfolio level
*

Ability to align projects to strategic initiatives
*

P30 or understanding of the P3M3 maturity model and its application
*

Formally trained in recognised Project Management methodology, such as Prince 2
*

Financial Services background
*

Track record in PMO with experience working within a PMO or working closely with the PMO and Project teams, preferably across a mixed portfolio from large transformation to small projects.

Role Responsibilities:

*

Directly accountable for leading Portfolio governance
*

Develop portfolio governance to include key priorities and ensure strategic alignment
*

Liaising with Programme Steerco's and updating Steerco Packs
*

Ability to build upon existing frameworks & process and align yourself to the organisation's ways of working
*

Chairing Resource Boards
*

Manage and maintain project documentation including project plans, RAID logs, Business Cases, RACI and any other relevant transformation proposals
*

Responsible for cross-programme delivery, proactively monitor projects against plan, budget, benefits and scope, providing an early warning of any variances and exceptions
*

Ensuring consistency in approach is embedded into the organisation, in order to improve processes and ways of working
*

Ability to work independently on delivering solutions to the PMO Manager
