Head of Technology Operations - £85,000 to £95,000 Bonus

Location: Wimbledon

The role:

A leading Financial Services organisation are seeking an ambitious Technology Leader, with responsibility for driving the technology agenda across one of their divisions, developing the innovation strategy and leading the agile transformation

Reporting into the CIO, the Head of Technology will also maintain and improve the technology service provided to the business, through a specialist in-house team and third-parties covering Infrastructure & Cloud/SaaS, Application Support & Dev and Service Delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

Team Leadership - manage a team of approximately 10 (including matrixed positions). The development, performance and wellbeing of this team is central to the roles success
*

Leadership experience from complex technology enterprise environments, and a track record of leading multiple high performant teams
*

Implementing agile development methods across a number of teams including Scrum, Kanban, XP, TDD, automated builds and continuous integration & deployment
*

Software Delivery - overall ownership of the software delivery lifecycle including managing testing, development and oversight of external teams
*

Exhibiting excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills - This is key to the success in this role, as well as experience leading teams through change and transformation, and experience driving change
*

Budget management - the role holder will be responsible for a large annual budget including personnel, software and infrastructure support
*

Security - working closely with the group security function to ensure that technology is always ready to meet the latest security challenges
*

Business Engagement - providing the senior management team and the wider executive leadership with informative and actionable insight which allows decisions to be made. This will involve both formal reporting and frequent appearances at senior exec meetings and risk committees
*

IT Governance - ensure best practice IT governance is in place across the business units functions
*

Vendor/Supplier Management - relationship, performance and commercial management of 3rd party vendors/suppliers
*

Service Management - Incident, Major Incident, Problem and Change Management.
