Application Support Manager - £60,000 - £65,000 Excellent Bonus Benefits - Wimbledon

One of my leading Clients is looking for an Application Support Manager that will be providing both technical application and system support to internal business functions and their customers.

The Application Support Manager has the responsibility of maintaining the IT Platform for both internal and external users along with helping the transition into a more agile environment and ensuring new services can be moved into support and non-functional requirements.

Application Support Manager Essential Requirements:

* Experience in an Application Support Manager / Application Support Team Lead position
* Excellent communication skills
* Excellent customer facing skills
* Experience in an ITIL environment
* Experience as an Application Support Analyst
* Prior experience working on B2B and B2C web-based platforms
* Ability to see problems through to completion with emphasis on problem ownership
* Ability to still be hands on when needed
* Excellent problem-solving skills
* Great understanding of the SDLC across multiple programmes

Application Support Manager Desirable Requirements:

* Experience with Java (other scripting languages e.g. .NET will also be considered)
* Experience with Oracle (SQL experience will also be considered)
* ITIL certified
* Financial services experience

Application support Manager Responsibilities:

* Producing career development plans for the members in your team
* Monitoring applications through alerts and dashboards
* Build relationships with vendors, escalating and monitoring support tickets and ensuring high level of customer service
* Coaching and mentoring all members of the team in both personal and technical queries
* Ensure correct operation of business continuity measures, planning and coordinating regular tests (Disaster Recovery Plan for the applications)
* Clearly articulating any IT risks and issues to senior management with the ability to translate it into business related terms
* Collaborating with the wider functions such as development, testing, project management etc to support different business demands
