Application Support Analyst (SAP) - Up to £42k Benefits - London
Our FTSE listed Banking client based in central London are seeking a results driven SAP FICO support analyst to join their team that is responsible for managing SAP and other applications across the organisation. Reporting directly into the Head of Application Support, you will be working collaboratively with the key users across the business to identify improvements and enhancements, and new project initiatives. The successful candidate will come from a functional background in at least one of the following modules: SAP FI, CO, GL, and MM. You will be working closely with the finance team so an understanding of finance processes is necessary.
Key Accountabilities Support and maintain SAP business activities Working closely with the business to identify process improvements and new projects Develop requirements and functional specifications Leadership on system initiatives varying in size and complexity Overseeing of incidents and service requests
Do you have?
* Experience working in a functional or technical area of SAP.FI/CO * Strong business acumen and ability to engage with key stakeholders, 3rd parties, and key users * Knowledge of SAP Access/Security (not essential) * ITIL qualification (desirable)
The main responsibilities are:
* Maintaining system stability and high availability. * To use system and software knowledge to resolve issues. * Adhere to issue priority effectively, and escalate where necessary. * Ensure progression of issues within a defined strategy and context. * Demonstrate ownership and take the lead on complex issues. * Consult with colleagues on solutions and solving complex problems. * Complete daily checks following defined procedures. * Escalate issues to management where appropriate. * Application monitoring, performance and capacity tuning as directed from time to time. * Providing 2nd-3rdline application support on complex internally and externally developed applications. * Managing problems from identification through to resolution. * Participate in the implementation, backup and roll-back plans for application support changes. * Maintaining good working relationships with internal departments as well as 3rdparty vendors and hosting providers * Provide out of hours support cover as required. * Change Management * Release Deployment Management * Configuration management * Incident and Problem Management * Security * Auditing
