3rd Line Support Engineer - Central London - £45,000 Benefits
My Client, a well-known charity, is currently recruiting for a 3rd Line Support Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis with a salary of £45,000 benefits. You will be supporting 3000 users across the country using a variety of technologies.
As a 3rd Line Support Engineer, you will have strong experience, centred around a core skill set of Windows Server 2008/2012, Active Directory and VMWare. You will predominantly be providing BAU support but will also have the opportunity to get involved in project work. One such project my client is currently undertaking is a datacentre migration.
Daily Duties - 3rd Line Support Engineer:
Supporting the in-house IT system *
Working in and supporting a virtualised environment *
Ensuring all incidents are dealt with in accordance to set SLA's *
Providing support remotely to other offices across the UK
Key Skills and Technologies - 3rd Line Support Engineer:
Windows Server 2008/2012 - strong admin, support and troubleshooting *
VMware 5.5 - strong admin, support and troubleshooting
Advanced understanding of Microsoft Active Directory - DirSync, Group policies *
DNS, DHCP *
Desirable - 3rd Line Support Engineer:
Networking - (LAN/WAN) *
Office 365 *
Proven track record of delivering in a complex multi-vendor IT environment *
Ability to produce clear and concise documentation *
Ability to communicate technical activities in a non-jargon friendly way
